This year the St. George Village Botanical Garden will be holding its annual Christmas Spoken Here holiday festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 7. This is a festive, family friendly day full of food, music, and Christmas cheer. Children aged 12 and under will be allowed to come in free; adults pay just $5.
Santa will be on hand from noon until 4 p.m. in the Pavilion at the Bodine Visitors’ Center to hear the little ones’ wishes and he will also pose for photos. The kids can also take part in fun art activities. Live music will be presented in the Great Hall. Come and enjoy the Good Hope Country Day Chorus, Central High Musicians, UVI Voices of Inspiration and the Southgate Baptist and Calvary Baptist Joint Choir who will be entertaining
throughout the afternoon. Dozens of vendors will be on hand, selling everything from local food and drinks to artwork, jewelry, T-shirts, books, clothing, pottery and much more. The Garden’s bar, staffed by our wonderful volunteers, will have special drinks for sale. A tree completely decorated with Jan Mitchell’s ornaments will be on display. At the end afternoon, the lucky holder of the winning raffle ticket will take home all the ornaments. Both The Nursery and The Museum Store, stocked with fabulous new merchandise will be open all day. This year’s White Reindeer Sale – with items at bargain prices – will be held under the Pergola at the Visitors’ Center and promises to be bigger and better than ever. Generous supporters have donated items to be sold to raise funds for the Garden’s programs.
