•Friday November 15th, 9am-4:30pm at UVI St. Croix Campus Great Hall– U.S. Coral Reef Task Force 30th Annual Business Meeting
The U.S. Coral Reef Task Force was enacted in 1998 with an Executive Order from President Clinton to conserve and protect reefs under U.S. jurisdiction. Each year, the USCRTF meets in one of the seven coral reef jurisdictions (USVI, Puerto Rico, Florida, Hawaii, Guam, American Samoa and the Northern Mariana Islands). They haven’t been to St. Croix since 1999 so this is an opportunity to show off our successes and future possibilities as well as a time to learn from the Task Force members. You can learn more about the Task Force at http://www.coralreef.gov/.
Attached are flyers for Thursdays events–please distribute as widely as possible. There’s also a presentation for high school students Thursday morning–contact me for more details.
