St. Croix Environmental Association goes Kayaking

Thank you Wiz and Laurie of Anchor Dive Center! SEA members and guests enjoyed a lovely interpretive kayak through Sugar Bay, Salt River National Historical Park & Ecological Reserve. Carol Cramer-Burke, SEA staff, spoke to the group about the importance of mangroves to our fragile coastal and reef ecosystems, identified various birds, and discussed (and celebrated) the mangrove planting project SEA completed in Sugar Bay, 1999-2001.
