This Friday, June 8, is World Ocean’s Day – consider doing something positive for our VI marine and coastal habitats or simply take a moment to appreciate the blue water surrounding our little island and all that it contains. The St. Croix Environmental Association invites the public to attended a press conference to showcase the installation of a relief sculpture created by the Coral Conservation Corps students of Manor School. The sculpture consists of five 30″ x 16″ concrete panels that depict scenes and messages about protecting St. Croix’s fragile marine and coastal ecosystems. Artist Kate Miller and sponsor the Buccaneer Hotel were instrumental to the success of this project. Please join us at Cramer’s Park on World Ocean’s Day, this Friday, June 8 at 1:30 p.m.
